The Presidential Fun Facts Manual





Our chief executive officer can be determined to do the best job he can. And for the most part that statement is very true. You may not have known this but some of the chief executives had interesting careers prior to entering the White House. There were also a few firsts that were made by some of the nations leaders. Presenting to you are several presidential fun facts.

Eight presidents throughout our history have never went to college. Those presidents include Zachary Taylor, Martin Van Buren, Millard Fillmore, Grover Cleveland, George Washington, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. While on the other hand, seven of our president attended Harvard College. Those Commander-in-Chiefs include John Quincy Adams, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, John Adams, Theodore Roosevelt, Rutherford Hayes and George W. Bush.

Some of our nations chief of state has various careers before entering the White House. The president who used via peanut farmer is Jimmy Carter. Many of you may have seen Ronald Reagan in various movies. Abraham Lincoln worked hard to be a fence maker. Harry Truman was a big fan of hats and he was a retailer who sold clothing and accessories made for men.

Several of our presidents created a few firsts while they served as our nations president. The first commander-in-chief to have his picture taken was James Polk. Teddy Roosevelt was the first to ride in a car while serving as president. The first Nations leader to ride an airplane was Franklin Roosevelt. The one and only commander-in-chief to attend college to be a doctor was William Harrison.

Three presidents were assassinated while serving during their presidency. They were James Garfield, William McKinley and John F. Kennedy. There were 11 assassination attempts on a president. Those 11 presidents include Andrew Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, Gerald Ford, George HW Bush, George W Bush and Harry Truman.
