Interesting Presidential Facts You Need To Know





There have been several events in the US since its independence on July 4, 1776. Some of them are interesting presidential facts that cause people to laugh, be filled with sympathy and to get some inspiration. There have been 44 presidents in the US since its independence.

Four of them died while they were still presidents. These presidents that died naturally include William Harrison and Franklin D. Roosevelt. The first president to die in office was William Harrison. He died on April 4, 1841 after prolonged cases of pneumonia, septicemia and jaundice, which were very difficult to treat at that time.

One of the most painful deaths among the US presidents is the death of Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was shot on the night of 4th April, 1865 in Ford's theater, Washington DC. The plot to kill him was confirmed to be formed from the people that did not like his administration. Abraham Lincoln was not the only president that was assassinated. Some others include William McKinley and James A. Garfield.

Only eight of the presidents were born as British subjects. They include George Washington, J. Adams, Jefferson, Monroe, J. Q. Adams, Jackson and William Harrison. George Washington did not attend college but he was very good in mathematics so he chose surveying as his profession. George Washington lost his father at the age of eleven.

Three presidents have died on America's Independence Day. They are John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Munroe. President Coolidge was the only president who was born on Independence Day.

These former presidents also had nicknames. Abraham Lincoln was known as Spot Lincoln while J. F. Kennedy was also known as Jack.
